Quality Control/Chemist


Responsible for generating accurate results in compliance with provisions of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Production Practices (GPP) / Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Responsible for analyzing laboratory samples using various chemical and instrumental techniques, in accordance with established compendial and in-house testing methods. If required, responsible to review documentation for the QC Laboratory.

Hours of Work: 40 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday

  • B.Sc. from a recognized educational institution in Chemistry, Pharmacy or a related field and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory or equivalent; OR Community College diploma in a related field and preferably 3-5 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office Programs and laboratory software packages.
  • Strong working and theoretical knowledge of automated laboratory instrumentation and methods such as HPLC-DAD/MS, GC-FID/MS, ICP, UV, Disintegration, IR, UV/VIS spectrophotometry, Titrators, pH.
  • Ability to interpret results and perform work with minimal supervision.
  • Detail oriented with excellent problem solving and instrument troubleshooting ability.
  • Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation is required.
  • Experience with a chromatographic data acquisition system is required.
  • Experience with USP/NF, Ph.Eur. and BP is required.
  • Experience with method transfers and validation is preferred.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of GMP/GPP/GLP as applied to a laboratory setting.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Security clearance by Health Canada under the ACMPR/NCR will be required.

Investment Relations Representative


We are currently seeking a Full Time Investment Relations Officer Representative. This role is located in our Burlington Ontario corporate office.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is accountable for creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of Maricann Group Inc. and for monitoring and presenting to management the opinions of the investment community regarding the company's performance.
Job Status: Full Time
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday; additional hours maybe required outside normal office hours such as but not limited to evenings and weekends. Some travel within North America and overseas

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains a company investor relations plan
  • Performs a competitive analysis, including financial metrics and differentiation
  • Develops and monitors performance metrics for the investor relations function
  • Monitors operational changes through ongoing contacts with company management, and develops investor relations messages based on these changes
  • Creates presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts, investors and executive team
  • Manages the investor relations portion of the company web site
  • Monitors analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management
  • Serves as the key point of contact for the investment community
  • Organizes and plans shareholders meetings, site visits, media opportunities in conjunction with the Investment Firm and conferences;
  • Working with marketing team to create presentations, investor kits and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and to investors
  • Ability to respond to FAQ’s from a scripted list and take inquiries
  • Monitors analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management
  • Reports and provides recommendations, improvements, and/or advice to senior management regarding the investment community's perception of Maricann Group Inc.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external teams to execute and support investor relations activities

  • At least 2 years of investment banking, consulting, or accounting/finance experience.
  • Experience within investor relations department is an asset
  • Post Secondary Education in Business Commerce or Business Administration is required
  • Excellent Excel, Power Point and presentation skills.
  • Bi-lingual in German an asset
  • Ability to travel within and outside Canada
